Best of: Coral and Peach

Hi Everyone!

I don’t know about you guys but the last few days have just felt like spring to me and I’m loving it. With spring on it’s way, I’m ready for colour. So there’s my inspiration for this series. Two colours that I love all year around, but especially for spring are coral and peach. I’ve noticed that coral especially is huge for spring 2015 in fashion, so this is perfect timing for this series. I’m sure this isn’t my original idea, but whoever started it, I’m rolling with it.

Coral

I’ll start with coral, since I have fewer products in this colour.

Gerard Cosmetics Coral Craze Lip Gloss

The first product for the colour coral is the Gerard Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Coral Craze. Now I’ll admit that I HATE these glosses on top of a lipstick. They are a very thick consistency and just look gloopy on top of a lipstick. However, if you just put this on your lips alone it’s pigmented enough to give you a beautiful coral flush and it won’t look gloopy. I got this lip gloss at the end of spring/summer so I haven’t worn it loads but I’m excited to wear it this spring.

Essence Silky Touch Blush- Life’s a Cherry

I couldn’t talk about the colour coral and not include this. The Essence Blush in Life’s A Cherry is a bright, hot coral shade that brings a flush to your cheeks. This blush is around $3 and the pigmentation is impeccable. You actually need a light hand with this because of it’s pigmentation. For a $3 blush I think that’s pretty impressive. This shade does look intimidating in the pan, but with a light dusting it’s the perfect blush to wake up your complexion. If you’re looking for inexpensive ways to incorporate coral, I highly recommend this.

Annabelle Lip Liner- Coral

The second coral lip product I want to include is the Annabelle Lip Liner in Coral. This is a medium coral shade that is perfect all over the lips for a coral pop. It’s creamy enough to use all over the lips and it won’t drag, so that’s a bonus. These lip liners are also an inexpensive way to add in some coral, although my store is always low on these lip liners.

NYX Butter Lipstick- Candy Buttons

The last product for coral is NYX Butter Lipstick in Candy Buttons. This is a light coral with a glossy finish. These lipsticks are super affordable and are ridiculously smooth. I would recommend exfoliating your lips prior to wearing this because I find the smooth formula can really accentuate dry or uneven lips.

Peach

Now moving on to peach, a personal favourite of mine year-round.

Milani Baked Blush- Luminoso

We can’t talk about amazing peach products without mentioning Luminoso. I can 100% say that this is not overhyped. It’s so beautiful and one of my favourite blushes of all time. It does have some shimmer, but it just creates a dewy sort of look on the skin. It makes your skin look flushed and smooth. Definitely a peach product everyone should try.

Lorac Pro Palette 2- Nectar

The next peach product I want to mention is definitely on the neutral side of peach, a peach-beige shade. This shade is the perfect transition and blending shade on my skin tone. It makes everything look seamless without being obvious. It’s also great to add warmth but not be too warm. If you’re trying to find a transition shade for a cooler eye look, this is a great place to start.

MAC Blush- Peaches

I seriously have a love affair with MAC blushes. I don’t know if it’s because I built the palette myself or what, but I often have to wean myself off the MAC blushes to use something else in my collection. Peaches is one shade I love because it looks so fresh and healthy. It is a true peach shade, but not orange.

MAC Blush- Melba

If we’re talking peach, then I have to mention Melba. Melba is the more neutral sister of Peaches, with more brown in it and a little more depth. This is perfect when you want peach on your cheeks to warm up your face, but you also don’t want it to compete with another area of your face.

MAC Lipstick- Shanghai Spice

My last peach favourite is also from MAC (they are seriously killing it with the peach options). Shanghai Spice is a warm peachy pink shade that looks is neutral enough to go with a darker eye look but also the perfect depth for every day. I like this day to day rather than a pink or a nude.

I do have a couple of honorable mentions for this as well, great peach and coral products that I need to wear more often!:

MAC Springsheen Blush

Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick- Coral Blossom

So there you have it! I don’t know about you, but I know I’ll be wearing peach and coral out this spring! What shade do you want to see next in this series? Leave me a comment below!

Bye for now!
